Elizabeth Ann Chicorka

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (Wilusz) Chicorka 77 of Holyoke passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving Family. She was born July 17,1938 daughter of the late Walter “Pop”and Mary (Burek) Wilusz. A lifelong resident of Holyoke she worked most of her life as a florist, the majority being at Clarks Flower Shop until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Richard P. Chicorka in 1995 and by her sister Evelyn Parentela in 2014. She leaves her two sons David P. and his wife Deborah of Enfield Ct., Glen R. of Amherst, her two daughters Lauren Chicorka of Holyoke and Lisa Chicorka and her fiancé Chris McWilliams of Encinitas Ca.two grandchildren Branden Chicorka of Narragansett RI and Laura Chicorka of Enfield Ct. two nieces Lynn Diehl and Holly Brown and two nephews Marc Parentela and Paul Parentela. Betty’s family would like to thank the entire staff at the ARA-Springfield Dialysis Center for their support and compassion. Visiting will be Friday morning at the Dillon & Edward F. Day Funeral Home 124 Chestnut St Holyoke from 9 a.m. until the time of the procession at 10:30 a.m. with  a Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of the Cross Church at 11 a.m.followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, so.
