Gloria Cohen

Gloria (Morris) Cohen 86 of Holyoke passed away on June 26, 2016. Born in Brooklyn N.Y. December 30, 1929 she married her late husband Martin who passed in 1998 and moved to Holyoke in the late 1940’s. She worked with her husband and brother in law Harry Chandler who owned the Highland Upholstering Company in Holyoke as partners. Gloria resided at Providence Place in Holyoke and enjoyed shopping especially for shoes and loved doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Sharon (Cohen) Gorczyka and her spouse William and Mark and his wife Jane Cohen all of So. Hadley, her  four grandchildren Rebecca and Jonathan Gorczyka, David Cohen and his wife Samantha, Jessica Weglarz and her husband Clayton, her great grandchildren Jacob and Bennett Weglarz and her best friend Lila Katz. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Congregation Rodphey Sholom Synagogue in Holyoke followed by burial in Rodphey Sholom Cemetery Chicopee. Shiva will begin on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at 39 West Summit St. Apt. # 2 So. Hadley.
