Bernice M. Hildigunnarsson

Bernice M. (Arel) Hildigunnarsson 79 of Holyoke passed away May 12, 2018. Born in Holyoke Dec. 6, 1938 she attended local schools and was the daughter of the late Robert and Sophie (Kozak) Arel. She was a CNA and worked for the Holyoke Geriatrics, the Western Mass Hospital and lastly Loomis House in Holyoke. She enjoyed traveling especially cruises, cooking, needlepointing and was a member of Our Lady of the Cross Church. Bernice was predeceased by her loving husband Halldor and her brother Robert. She is survived by her son Halldor ( Liliana) of Holyoke, her daughters Carole Irwin of Chicopee and Teresa Stevenson (Willie) of Holyoke, a brother Joseph Arel of Springfield, her several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved and who meant so much to her and nieces and nephews. Relatives & Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Fri. May 18 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Church, Holy Cross Ave, Holyoke. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
