Donald R. barthelette

Donald R. Barthelette 93 of Holyoke passed away on Dec. 16, 2017. He was born in Holyoke Dec. 24, 1923 and educated in Holyoke schools. He was a Machine Operator for many yrs.at the former Hamilton Standard Co. of Holyoke. Donald was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rachel (Rompre) Barthelette, his brothers and sisters Doris Tisdell, Rita Beaulieu, Aline Pelc, May Almeida, Pat Bartlett, Roger Bartlett and Roland Barthelette and his longtime special friend Leroy Craven. Donald is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Our family's journal keeper has sadly passed away. We no longer have the convenience of talking with Uncle Donald. No longer can obtain the dates or particulars, be they happy or sad, about a relative's milestones. He was gifted. For he had an incredibly astute memory that we all were amazed by as well as admired. So now its' his time to rest. Time for him to forget his worries and joyously reunite with all his loved ones in heaven. Just think, now he has new memories, dates and stories to tell. Rest in Peace Uncle Donald. Love you.The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Dillon Funeral Home 124 Chestnut St. Holyoke followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery So. Hadley.Visiting hrs. will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
