Irene J. Morin

Irene J. Morin entered peacefully into eternal rest on June 28,2018. She was the widow and lifelong love of Raymond E.Morin,Jr.who predeceased her on November 11,2011. She was also predeceased by her parents Ida and Archie Durocher and her siblings Archie, Robert, Doris, Donald, Douglas, Raymond and Joan. Irene was survived by her loving children; Ray Morin and his wife Rudi, Patricia Therrien and her partner Gary Butts, and William Morin and his wife Susan, with whom she resided, and was provided with daily care. She also leaves her grandchildren Stacy Bombard, Myssie Lacharite and Michael Morin, and great grandchildren Stone and Bear Lacharite and Madison Bombard. Irene was employed for many years at the Holyoke Nursing Home as the Director of Housekeeping and Laundry. Once retired, she enjoyed summers at her home at John’s Pond in Mashpee on the Cape, which she generously shared with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, providing many Holiday dinners; her French Meat Pie being legendary. She will be deeply missed. Funeral services will begin on Tues. July 3,2018 at 8 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church in South Hadley at 9 a.m. with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery So. Hadley. Visiting hrs. are Mon. July 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m.
