Barbara J. (Cousineau) Lucchesi, 78, of Holyoke passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2022. She was born in Holyoke Ma. to the late Leo and Rita (Labrecque) Cousineau. Barbara had a positive impact on everyone that was fortunate enough to have known her. For many years she enjoyed playing Bingo and participated in Saturday Night Bowling league at Fun Time Lanes in Holyoke, at Home she enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her mother and daughter Gina, and enjoyed endless hours on her IPad playing word games and even the “occasional “ scratch ticket. Just like her mother, she was a diehard Red Sox fan and never missed a chance to watch their beloved team play, alongside the company of her dogs. Barbara worked for many years for her sons at Lucchesi Billiards where she was a familiar face. As an accomplished pool player, she competed in the U.S. Open Pool Tournament in 1969 against the country’s best players. At Ivory Billiards, she loved playing Keno and could easily be talked into a rack or two in her later years. Barbara leaves behind her four children, Paul III (Susan) of Granby, Thomas (Andrea) of Southampton, Gino of Granby, and Gina of Holyoke with whom she lived. She also leaves her five grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Anthony, Thomas and Paul IV who she was extremely proud of! Barbara also leaves her siblings, Joan Muse of Southampton, Paul (Gail) Cousineau of Cape Coral, Fl. and Diane Monroe (Richard) of Vero Beach, FL. She also leaves behind many friends whom she considered family. She was predeceased by her siblings Donald and Allen (Pete) Cousineau. We could not have asked for a more loving Mother/Grandmother, she was always kind, compassionate and supportive to all. She will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held Wed. Feb. 16th from 5-8 P.M. at the Dillon Funeral Home Inc 124 Chestnut St Holyoke. Funeral Services are Private.
