Barbara M. Mantovani passed away on September 29, 2024. Barbara was born in Springfield, MA, on September 23, 1931, to Frank and Dorthy Mulloy (Supernor). Barbara graduated from Commerce High School class of 1949; Barbara worked for Standard Electric Time. Barbara married Edward A. Mantovani on August 12, 1961; after they married, they relocated to Sunderland, MA, where they owned and operated Mike’s Westview together; they then moved to Amherst Ma, where Barabara worked alongside Ed at Braselotti’s. After she and Ed sold Barsie’s as it was known, she turned to her “most important job,” as she called it, being a mother to her daughter Nicole. Brabara later worked at UMass. After her retirement, she was often found gardening in the beautiful yard that she tended with love and devotion. Barbara also had a passion for antiques and finding bargains. Everyone who knew her knew she took great pride in her appearance and never missed her weekly hair appointment. Barbara leaves behind her daughter, Nicole M. Percy, her son-in-law, Douglas Percy, and the loves of her life, her twin grandchildren, Dominic and Gianna Percy, her sister, Maryann, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, Dorthy and Frank Mulloy, her husband, Edward, in 2009, and her sister, Delores Locke, and her brother, Jim Mulloy. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield, MA, at 10:30 a.m., at the family grave on St. Elizabeth Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in loving memory of Barabara Mantovani to Pope Francis Prep, 99 Wendover Road, Springfield, MA 01118
