Betty Jean Hallenbeck, 61 of Holyoke passed away Sept. 2, 2023 at Hoyoke Medical Center. Born March 26, 1962 in Syracuse N.Y. she was the daughter of Allen and Katherine (Bruhn) Hallenbeck. Betty worked as a Stocking Clerk for several Years at Walmart and was a dedicated member of I.B.P.O.E.0.P.W Aster Temple # 1199 in Holyoke and Part of the Zara B. Freeman Council of Holyoke and Springfield, also part of the Carol William Poster Child of Holyoke and Springfield and Past Grand Daughter honors Class of August 12, 2023. Betty was the New England States and Eastern Canada Daughters of Elk, outgoing Princess and truly loved Elkdom. She was a Daughter Ruler and past State President. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence Jackson, her Mother Katherine, her children April, Andrew, Stephanie, Kenny, Lawrence Jr, Tasha, Jessica and James, her grandchildren Manny, Takara, J’ynalise, Jaden, Nivea, Gio, AJ, JJ, Liam, Rhia Na’Thai and Issiah, a great granddaughter Z’ymani May, her 2 brothers Ray and Glen and nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and was always willing to help anyone in need. She never missed a Tuesday night bingo. Betty was predeceased by her Father Allen, her daughter Ruthie and Grandson Dhimani. Visiting will be held on Sept. 23rd at the Bethlehem Baptist church, 304 Elm St Holyoke from 9-10:30 am with services starting at 10 followed by burial in Forestdale West Cemetery 200 Rock Valley Rd Holyoke Dillon Funeral Home 124 Chestnut St has assisted with the Services.
