Carlos "Charlie" J. Velasquez

Carlos (Charlie) J Velasquez, 49, died suddenly Oct 2. Predeceased by his beloved mother Juanita Osorio, Charlie leaves behind many friends and family including his loving wife of 18 years Jessica Velasquez, Daughters Heather Velasquez and Alisa Santiago and sons Lisandro Santiago, Michael Velasquez and Nathan Velasquez . He also leaves behind a sister Edith and brothers Jose, Edwin,Hector,Mickey and Victor. Loved by all, Charlie was considered a dad by many of his children’s friends. Charlie was an incredible husband and father and a kind, humble and generous man. He loved to travel and spend time with his children. He was an employee of the Springfield Public School Department. Charlie was a lover and creator of music, recording many songs in the 1990s as part of the duo Lamour. Charlie will rest peacefully by his mothers side knowing that he raised 5 strong, independent and and loving children. Visiting will be from 5- 8 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 6th, Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
