David A. Schirch

David A. Schirch of Chicopee died January 25 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Taunton MA July 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Howard and Katherine (Harnois) Schirch of Holyoke. David was a plumber by trade and worked for Smith College for 21 Yrs. He was an avid fisherman and shared his love of the sport with family and friends. David is survived by his wife Diane (White), daughter Nancy Keyes and husband Paul of Agawam, and son Alan and wife Jane of Londonderry NH and 2 grandchildren, Stephen and Mitchell Schirch. He also leaves his sister Beverly Maynard, their late mother Irene Fowles, and his niece Ananda Stanley and her family of Oneonta, NY. Services were private at the request of the family and donations in David’s name may be made to Westfield Homeless Cat Project.
