Jean R. ( Martinelli ) Fortier, 85 formerly of Chicopee died February 16, 2022 surrounded by her Loving family. Born in Bridgewater Ma. September 22,1936 she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Irene (Landry) Martinelli. Jean was a Registered Nurse going back to school in her 50’s to get her degree and worked as a Hospice Nurse for several years. She is survived by 3 children Michelle Costa (Carlos) of Springfield, Lynne Fournier (Tom) of Vt. and Brian Fortier (Julie) of Holland Ma. her brothers Richard Martinelli of Fl, James Martinelli of Middleboro and a sister Gerry Truczinskas of Fl., 9 grandchildren Joshua, Amanda, Brittany, Paul, Eugene, Haley, Ryan, Timothy and Shane and 4 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her former husband Paul L. Fortier, a Son Wayne Fortier and a Brother David Martinelli. The family will hold a Celebration of life at the Delaney House Restaurant in Holyoke on Wednesday March 2nd at 10 a.m. The family wish’s to thank the Staff of Heritage Hall North and give gratitude to the Hospice Nursing staff. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New England Hospice, 190 Old Derby St. Hingham Ma. 02043.
