Obituary
Julianne M. ( Gobeille ) Deni, 81 of Chicopee, passed away on Friday March 31, 2023 at Pioneer Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation in South Hadley. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y, November 11, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes ( Ricard ) Gobeille. She was raised in Holyoke, MA, and graduated from Holy Rosary High School and Elms College. Upon graduation, she began teaching in the Holyoke Public Schools with the majority of her career spent at Morgan Elementary School. She was an active participant at St. Mary’s Church in Chicopee, a voracious reader, passionate educator, loyal friend and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Julianne is survived by her loving Husband James, her children Angela Dunn ( John III ) of New Canaan, CT and James Jr. ( Tammy ) of Chicopee, her grandchildren Logan, Julianne, John IV, and Matthew, many dear friends and neighbors, and was predeceased by her siblings Beatrice Estabrook and Joseph Gobeille. All Services are private. Donations in her name may be made to Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care.
