Kathleen P. (Cahill) Smith

Kathleen “Patsy” Smith peacefully passed away on November 6th 2023 at age 82 in Chicopee MA. Daughter of the late Michael and Sabina (Meehan) Cahill; born on July 7th 1941 in New Rochelle, NY. While working as cleaner in Boston at the John Hancock Building, she met her late husband Richard Smith. Patsy was a hard worker as a doughnut maker/deli keeper at Doughboy Doughnuts, along with a hair dresser and home health aid; while she raised her children.  Katherine M. Cahill – Malden, MA, Richard I. Smith – Holyoke, MA, Timothy M. Smith – Whitman, MA, and Eileen M. Smith – Springfield, MA. Hard-headed sister to the late Eileen Lynskey, survived by her sister Maureen Larkin, and her only brother John Cahill of Holyoke, MA. She was a loving mother to her children named above, even more loving Gammie to Kurtis Cahill-Abrams, Kaelen Cahill-Abrams, Kiera Shea-Smith and Naomi Baxter; and great grand son Theodore Cahill, and dozens of nieces and nephews all over Eastern and Western Ma. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday Nov. 13th at 10 a.m. in St Jerome Church followed by Burial in St Jerome Cemetery.
