He later attended Chicopee Comprehensive High School and then received an Associate’s Degree at Holyoke Community College. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and served aboard the USS Newport News. After his children were born, Rich enjoyed his time coaching youth sports for the Tigers A.C. and being involved in his children’s activities. While in NC, he was employed by Linc Technology Systems where he was a service tech and was well liked by his co-workers and many customers. In his spare time, he enjoyed going on trips to the beach and spending time with friends. In 2021, Richard and his wife moved back to Chicopee to spend their remaining years closer to family and friends. One of Richard’s passions was history.
