Irene E. Bernier

Irene E. (Szot) Bernier 82 of Holyoke passed away Nov.27,2017. Born in Holyoke March 21,1935 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie ( Gancarz) Szot. She worked as a Home Health Aide for the Holyoke VNA and was a member of the former Mater Dolorosa Church. Irene was predeceased by her Husband Howard and her siblings. She is survived by her children Robert / Michele Bernier of W. Springfield, Rene Bernier of Sunbury Pa. and Carol Aldrich / Brook of S.C., 3 grand children and 1 great grandchild, 1 nephew and 3 nieces. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Mon. Dec. 4th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cross Church Holyoke followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
